16S and ITS Metagenomic Sequencing

16S 16S metagenomic sequencing and ITS metagenomic sequencing enables unparalleled insight of microbial communities, enabling researchers to study a variety of microbiomes such as soil and intestinal flora. SeqMatic offers sequencing and analysis of 16S rRNA gene for bacterial communities and ITS (internal transcribed spacer) for fungal communities. Dozens to hundreds samples can be sequenced and analyzed with rapid turnaround times.

Customers may submit raw sample for DNA extraction services or submit purified genomic DNA. All DNA samples are validated for purity and yield prior to processing. Illumina sequencing libraries are generated using our custom developed qPCR protocol. All libraries are purified and size selected to remove unwanted background products. Samples can be tagged with up to 384 barcodes for sequencing. Sequencing is performed using the Illumina MiSeq, generating up to 25M high quality reads in under one week. FASTQ data is processed using the Qiime pipeline for fast and accurate analysis of metagenomic data. Raw FASTQ files are provided for customers to perform their own analysis.
