The Gel Extraction Tool Set enables precise and efficient sample extractions from agarose and acrylamide gels through a three-part system:

1)      Gel Cutter allows a precise excision of targeted gel material without sharps and blades

2)      Gel Breaker fragments gel slices with its patent pending design for easy sample extraction

3)      Gel Filter removes gel debris from the gel/buffer suspension

1) Place Gel Breaker into a 1.5mL or 2.0mL microcentrifuge tube.

2) Insert Gel Cutter onto tip of micropipette.

3) Press Gel Cutter firmly into targeted band to excise gel slice.

4) Insert the Gel Cutter with the excised gel slice into the Gel Breaker.

5) Place entire extraction assembly into minifuge. Spin at 13,000xG for 1 minute to fragment gel.

6) Suspend gel fragments in buffer for sample extraction.

7) Transfer gel/buffer mix into the Gel Filter with 1mL pipet tips to remove gel debris.
