Histopathology Staining Assay Services

Advancing tissue-based research with white-glove staining capabilities

Histopathology staining assay services enable pathologists to evaluate tissue samples, diagnose conditions, and interpret findings through microscopy. The selection of stains is contingent upon the investigational question.

At SeqMatic, the histopathology staining assay services offer routine staining (H&E), chromogenic immunohistochemistry (IHC) and fluorescent staining, and special stain services for high level detail analysis.

HIDDEN

CONSISTENT & REPEATABLE STAINING QUALITY

The Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining is the standard and preferred method for viewing cellular and tissue structure detail of routine diagnostics. This stain method is simple, fast, stable, and affordable.

VISUALIZING ANTIBODY-ANTIGENS

The chromogenic immunohistochemistry (IHC) and fluorescent staining enables selective identification of cell antigens in tissue sections. SeqMatic’s immunohistochemical staining is used for projects that involve the visualization of abnormal cells in oncology research projects; as well as analysis of the distribution and localization of biomarkers and differentially expressed proteins in different parts of biological tissue.

Visualization of antibody-antigen interaction is achieved via:
    • Chromogenic immunohistochemistry (CIH) – antibodies are used to detect antigens in tissue using a reporter enzyme and a colored chomogen
    • Immunofluorescence – where the antibody is tagged to a fluorophore; SeqMatic offers 4 channels FITC, TRITC, CY5 and DAPI

ADDITIONAL CUSTOM DETAIL FOR RESEARCH ANALYSIS

Special stain services provide a high level of detail for analyzing tissues such as kidney, liver, lung, heart, spleen and skin. These stains include Trichrome Masson, Alcian Blue pH 2.5, Oil Red O, and Von Kossa. Through these services precise analysis is possible, allowing for the visualization and identification of specific cells, tissue types, and cellular products.
